Construction of the basement of the Library Building into an art gallery, with plan adaptability to a depending on the needs of each exhibition and special storage rooms for the art works and rare books collection of the American College of Greece.
The size of the art gallery is approx. ~ 650 sq.m. The architectural details of the halls false ceiling allow, with the use of the panel lock system, the dynamic change of its façade, which can be adjusted to the needs of the exhibitions held in the College’s premises.
The storage rooms – approx. ~ 450 sq.m. in size – have special storage systems for paintings and books, an area for their study, and have the capacity to store more than 67000 volumes rare books and art work.
The entire installation has state of the art electromechanical installations, such as lighting, air conditioning and active and passive fire protection.
